This Privacy Policy explains how Aetherhan Works LLC ("Aetherhan Works", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit aetherhan.com (the "Website") or use our applications, games and digital publications (together, the "Products"). We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do collect.
01Scope
This policy applies to the Website and to every Product that links to it. Where a Product needs to handle information in a way not described here, that Product will include a supplementary notice in its store listing or in the app itself. If a supplementary notice conflicts with this policy, the supplementary notice governs for that Product.
02Information collected on the Website
The Website is a static site. It does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, does not run third-party tracking scripts, and does not ask you to create an account.
- Preferences: your colour theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Server logs: our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and time of request in order to deliver the Website and protect it against abuse. We do not combine this data with other information to identify you.
- Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address, name (if provided) and the content of your message.
03Information collected by our Products
Our Products are designed to work without collecting personal information wherever possible. Depending on the Product, the following categories may be processed:
- Data you choose to provide, such as support requests, feedback or content you create inside a Product.
- Purchase information. In-app purchases and paid downloads are processed by the relevant platform (for example Apple App Store, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery). We receive confirmation of a transaction but not your full payment card details.
- Diagnostic data, such as crash reports and performance metrics, used only to fix bugs and improve stability. Where a platform allows you to opt out, we respect that choice.
- Device permissions (for example storage, camera or notifications) are requested only when a feature needs them, and are explained at the point of request.
The data safety and privacy labels shown in each store listing describe the specific data practices of that Product.
04How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Website and Products.
- To respond to your messages and provide support.
- To process and verify purchases and restore entitlements.
- To detect, prevent and address security issues, fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
05Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide a Product you have obtained); legitimate interests (to keep our services secure and working, balanced against your rights); consent (where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation.
06Sharing and service providers
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate — such as hosting, email and crash reporting providers, and the app distribution platforms through which our Products are offered — and only to the extent necessary. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect the data. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or the public.
07Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Support correspondence is generally kept for up to three years after the last contact; diagnostic data is kept for no more than one year. Records we are legally required to keep are retained for the required period.
08Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires it.
09Children
Our Products are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) unless a Product’s store listing clearly states otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Any Product designed for children will follow applicable rules, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and platform family policies.
10International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps required by applicable law — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect it. Where the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China applies, we will obtain separate consent and complete any required procedures before transferring personal information outside mainland China.
11Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and mainland China have rights under their respective laws.
To make a request, email support@aetherhan.com. We will respond within the period required by law, and may need to verify your identity first. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To delete data held inside a Product, you can also use any in-app deletion option, or uninstall the Product to remove data stored only on your device.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Products or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, give notice through the Website or the affected Products.
